Andra Gogan, a 21-year-old YouTube sensation from Buzau, Romania, started humming tunes from age three. Alongside her talented brother, Răzvan Gogan, they have hitherto achieved what no other duo in the music industry has; being featured in the Guinness Book of World Records not once, but twice.
An impressive part of their fascinating journey is Gogan’s seamless skill-straddling as a singer, actor, vlogger, and guitarist. She boasts an enviable trove of music compilations, including ‘Hallelujah’ (2013), ‘Beautiful Sick’ (2014), ‘See you in September’ (2017), ‘What a Boy’ (2017), among others. An epitome of what it means to be a vlogging sensation, she has built a massive YouTube audience base since launching a mini-series, ‘How to Become Popular at High School’ in 2016. By the 2018 series finale, she had accumulated 780,000 YouTube subscribers, millions of views, and almost 700,000 Instagram followers.
Jumping right into the spotlight, Gogan kicked off her acting career behind the scenes. She first dabbled in voice-over acting, lending her voice to the animation ‘Rise of the Guardians’ in 2012. She later gained popularity through other live-action animation shows and voice-overs for secondary characters in reputable channels like Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon.
But just at the tender age of 11, Gogan was already defying norms. The world watched in awe on September 15, as she and her brother, Răzvan, broke the world record for the longest live concert held by a child – a three-hour and 20-minute spectacle where she performed 55 songs back-to-back. Adding another feather to her cap, Gogan established another world record for the most CDs released by a child, having churned out no less than 16 albums.
Her acting prowess became more prominent when she voiced the Romanian version of the animated princess in Sofia the First, mirroring Ariel Winter’s commendable performance in the English version. With her brother, she also showcased her talent in ‘Romanians Got Talent’, a renowned reality show on PRO TV by British powerhouse, Simco Limited.
As of now, Gogan is far from hitting the brakes. Collaborating creatively with her brother, she continues to conquer the music scene, while simultaneously influencing and vlogging on TikTok, amassing over 1.5 Million viewership. She is also slated for a musical tour with tickets already on sale for a concert in Chisinau this September.
